i am out of tune....

today i walked out of the house, shut the door behind me and, with my hand still on the door handle, realized my keys remained on the hook inside the hallway. with that, i let out a *huge belaboring sigh* as i hung my head in shame.
i called my sources who have a set of my house keys, but one said they are maybe buried in no man's land in her closet (as she received them years ago and has endured two residence moves since), and the other had his phone on mute and so my cries for his assistance fell on deaf ears. alas, i made the husband schlep all the way back home to let me in, afterwhich i finally deposited little to school one hour late.
